This is a one-of-a-kind handmade wearable artwork made in collaboration with the ultra-talented Rykelle Kemp of Ahlazua Fine Arts. It is an ode to the past with a vision into the future. It is made using smoked moosehide, all vintage and antique beads, beautiful dark blue caribou hair tufts in a pattern inspired by my late Setsunè ( grandmother). It has a genuine leather backing and is finished with beautiful brass and sterling details with white topaz stones for added sparkle. This beauty was featured on SWAIA’s Centennial Haute Couture Runway this past year, as well as the Vancouver Indigenous Runway this past October.
